There are two words that you’ll always hear around the School of Business: “GET INVOLVED.” To get involved is to immerse yourself within any of the extracurricular opportunities offered within our faculty. Although it is imperative to successfully complete your BComm degree, simultaneously involving yourself in these activities can set you apart from the rest of your peers.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
The Mentorship Program is a fantastic way to build connections, and learn how to navigate through the rest of your BCom degree from current business students that have a diversity of experiences that they’re willing to share with new business students!
Ever wanted to get a feel on the work environment of a company? BSA is holding Backstage Pass so that YOU can get a complete tour around various companies that are business related. However, we need ambassadors to help facilitate these tours! Applications close Monday, December 6th 2015.
TAKE A STUDENT TO EAT (TASTE)
In pairing a student and corporate for a lunch outing, TASTE provides students with an opportunity to meet successful industry professionals in a casual setting. This allows them to ask questions they may not get a chance to in the hectic environment of a traditional networking event!
STUDENT ACTIVITY FUND
Take networking and your past experiences with you around the world! The Students Activity Fund (SAF) is used to reimburse students who attend external conferences hosted outside the University of Alberta. Students who meet all the eligibility requirements outlined may be reimbursed for up to $500 per year!
