WHAT WE BRING
The Events Portfolio strives to create unique and fun events that give students the opportunity to connect with their peers and corporates. Throughout this year, the Events Portfolio offers students the chance to network and bond through events such as Ignite, the annual Winter Gala, and Year End Banquet!
What has been your favourite experience so far in your business degree? Meeting some of your best friends at Ignite? Dunking Dean Doucette at the Charity Carnival? Putting on your dance shoes and painting the town red at Winter Gala? These are just some of the memorable events organized by the BSA Events Portfolio! Fear not if you have yet to make these memories, I assure you the best times are to come.
I am Rachel Bokenfohr, your VP Events for the 2017/2018 academic year. This year, I want events focussed to add value both to students and corporate partners as we help students make meaningful connections from meaningful experiences. In addition to our staple events, I look forward to our exciting Charity initiatives!
The work the Events Portfolio does is for you, the students. With that in mind, feel free to reach out to me by email, phone, LinkedIn, Facebook, carrier pigeon or come visit me in the BSA office on the 2nd floor of the Business building with any questions, comments or concerns you may have. The BSA is here to advocate on behalf of you and I work to ensure your voice is heard.
Outside of business I have a massive love for all things theatre, especially musical theatre. I can be found in the audience of wonderful Edmonton theatres, annoyingly singing from my seat the entire time. If you want to chat musicals, plays or anything else I am down. I cannot wait to connect with you throughout this year!
Your life thus far has lead up to reading this bio. My name is Kyle and I am the Charity Director for the 2017-2018 academic year! My major is Finance, but who really knows how long that is going to last – I am banking on winning the lottery or marrying rich. That said, I am really excited for the coming year and I hope to deliver opportunities for Business students to give back to their community, gain experience, and hopefully have a good time at the events I will be organizing! I think that as a group this faculty has great opportunity to realize change in the local community. If you want to get involved, have any ideas you want to share, or want to find out what Saturday’s are for come find me!
Hello party people! I am this year’s Engagement Director, my job is to engage you – whether with this year’s events or with my dry, sarcastic humour. Asides from my love for photography and for people who laugh at my jokes, I am pumped about planning Ignite the sickest event for 1st year Business students) and Graduation Banquet (the sickest event for last year Business students). Hopefully I will have the chance to actually engage with you and if you like food, you are already a friend.
Hey there! This year I will be planning the Winter Gala for all Business students and I am going to ensure it will be one of the best nights of your life 🙂 I am an avid equestrian who loves swimming, warm weather, and hummus!
