EXTERNAL

The External portfolio aims to connect students in the external environment by reaching out to corporate representatives, which become present throughout the various events that are held by the Business Students’ Association. Additionally, they are responsible for holding Take a Student to Eat (TASTE), Backstage Pass, and Anti-Burnout.

WHAT WE BRING

The External Portfolio is responsible for managing the BSA’s corporate relationship accounts, and hosts events like Anti-Burnout, TASTE, and Backstage Pass. A big priority for the External Portfolio is connecting students with businesspeople. After all, in business, who you know really is everything (okay, maybe not everything… but pretty close).

THE PORTFOLIO

Davis Riar

Davis Riar

VP External

Hi, I am Davis and I am your Vice President of External Relations for the Business Students’ Association. As a member of the external portfolio, I will be managing corporate partnerships as well as facilitating services such as TASTE, Anti Burnout, and Backstage Pass. My overall vision for the year is to ensure students have ample opportunities to meet their future employer while they are in their undergraduate program. If you have any questions about the external portfolio feel free to drop by the office or give me a shout at my email! A bit about myself, I am a member of the 4th Leadership Certificate Cohort and I am the past Co-President of the University of Alberta Marketing Association. I am also looking forward to attending JDC West for the second time this year and representing Alberta on our home turf! When I am not actively pursuing business related ventures for personal skill development, you can find me curling in the squat rack. #GainsBeforeBrains
