The Internal portfolio is here to promote the business student life outside of the classroom, and demonstrate that there is something more riveting than a textbook and powerpoint slides. Beyond some of the events that the Internal portfolio plans, they’re also all ears to what you really want out of your BCom degree!
WHAT WE BRING
Internal puts together events in which you will make some of your closest friends; such as Cohort Olympics & Welcome Week. The feeling of excitement that you get when something interesting is happening within the faculty comes from the magical touches that the internal team works hard on! Get ready for next year, you will be hearing from the internal team very frequently!
Hi, my name is Jordan and I want to welcome you all back for another exciting year in the Alberta School of Business. I am the Business Students Association’s VP Internal and I am looking forward to meeting and seeing all returning and incoming students.
The Internal Portfolio is all about student engagement and providing services for students within the business faculty. Our team for the upcoming year will be hosting orientation, coffee in the library, student wellness speaker series, various events for international students as well as all the cohort events. I can even emphasize how much getting involved within the school added value to my degree. I strongly encourage all of you to find some way thoughout the next year to get involved with something other than classes. Take advantage of all the amazing opportunities within the school and find something you are truly passionate about that will add value to your undergrad years!
If you have any questions, feedback or just want to chat I am always more than happy to go for coffee. Feel free to stop by the BSA office anytime or send me an email!
Student Engagement Director
My name is Murtoza. I am a fourth-year Bachelor of Commerce student majoring in Business Economics & Law. Over my academic career, I have been on a number of advisory committees and have served as the Vice-President of the Bangladeshi Students’ Association on campus. I am passionate about student engagement and advocating for student rights both on and off campus and I want to work to expand student awareness of the BSA’s activities using facets such as social media and community involvement. On my spare time, I like to play golf and watch movies.
Hey everyone! I plan and execute the Business Orientation at the beginning of the year, as well as selecting and assisting the Cohort Reps (among other things!). I love sushi, sneakers, and battle rap. Always down for karaoke.
Student Wellness Director
Hello there! My role in the BSA is to plan and execute services linked to anti-stress, mental health awareness, and overall student wellness. My free time is spent managing my shopping addiction, binge-watching MTV reality, and eating extremely spicy food. #IGotHotSauceInMyBagSwag
Student Wellness Director
Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening. Glad you could stop by (wave). Bacon is my passion, the greasier the better! Also music, but I don’t play any instruments although I have been known to dabble. As the Student Wellness Director my responsibilities include providing events and services that help students de-stress. If you have any suggestions don’t be afraid to approach me, I’d love to hear them.
