WHAT WE BRING

The Internal portfolio is here to promote the business student life outside of the classroom, and demonstrate that there is something more riveting than a textbook and powerpoint slides. Beyond some of the events that the Internal portfolio plans, they’re also all ears to what you really want out of your BCom degree!

Darby Walton

VP Internal - email hidden; JavaScript is required

Hi and welcome!

I am Darby, your VP Internal for the Business Students’ Association. This year, I hope to improve student wellness resources and strengthen relationships with all students at the Alberta School of Business. My three Directors and I will facilitate events and services to engage students, improve international student services, and bring forth innovative and thorough student wellness events and services.

The Internal Portfolio exists to enhance the experiences of all undergraduate business

students beyond the classroom. While we attend one of the best Business schools in the country, our undergraduate experience cannot be summed-up simply through our academic endeavors. My job is to help students realize the opportunities available for them through involvements such as student clubs, case competitions, conferences and social events.

One of the most valuable parts of my undergraduate degree is the relationships I have made with my peers, professors and professionals. I look forward to continually building new relationships and encourage you to do the same. Your time as a business student is what you make of it. Do not be afraid to challenge your comfort zone; you will be amazed at what it can do for you and others.

If I am not in the Business Lounge late at night, you may find me at the nearest Frozen Yogurt shop, scoping out the best brunch spots or hanging out with my incredible group of friends. Likewise, you can also count on my door being open to you anytime you wish to express your ideas, concerns or perspectives. As a member of your Faculty Association, I am here to enhance all aspects of your degree, and I look forward on hearing your input on how to do so! Long live her majesty.

Student Wellness Director

Hi there! My role on the BSA is to provide services and events to benefit the wellness of students in the Business Faculty, as well as bring awareness and reduce the stigma towards mental health. As an individual who has had personal challenges with mental health, I hope to draw from my experiences to build on the progress of last year’s Student Wellness Directors. My free time is spent coaching basketball, exploring #YEG, or traveling to wherever I can. I adore Disney & Pixar movies (also kind of an expert), so if you ever need a person for trivia I am your girl!
